Full course description

During this course, candidates will demonstrate knowledge and ability to implement systems that assess, plan, and provide academic and social skill instruction to support positive behavior in all students, including those who have complex social, communication, behavioral, and emotional needs. Candidates will explore laws and regulations pertaining to student behavior in a safe school setting. Establishing and maintaining positive, proactive, and respectful environments, both in class and school wide environments, will be a focus. Candidates will implement evidence-based and multi-faceted methodologies and strategies necessary in teaching and engaging students with Autism Spectrum Disorder from acquisition through generalization.
